Tips to Getting the Most from Your Laser Cartridges
Follow these tips to save money and keep your
laser printer cartridge in top condition.
1) Keep Room temperature
Keep your toner, at room temperature at all times. Leaving a cartridge in the trunk of your car in extreme hot or cold weather will damage it.
2) Do not leave
Do not leave the cartridge in motor vehicles for any length of time, as even on a cool day the temperature can exceed safe levels. Doing so may distort the plastic in the cartridge.
3) Do not open
Do not attempt to open the plastic casing around the cartridge. There is nothing you can do to repair a faulty cartridge by opening it.
4) Always keep
Always keep the original bag and box your cartridge is in so you can use them to store and return the cartridge when it is empty. If you don't have the packaging, place it in a plastic bag in a dark area.
5) Excessive light
Do not expose your cartridge to excessive light which will damage some of the components.
6) When your cartridge is empty
When your cartridge is empty, do not let it sit for long periods of time before refilling it.
7) Your printer needs
Much damage done to printers comes from an accumulation of dirt and debris. Your printer needs to be kept as dust-free as possible. This in itself can cause some problems that could be avoided by simply taking out the printer cartridge and giving it and the printer cartridge holder a wipe with a clean cloth.
8) Some print problems
Some print problems you may be experiencing could possibly be corrected by simply performing the printer cleaning diagnostics and repair program that has been included in your printer driver software.
